The 12th International Conference on Materials Processing and Manufacturing Engineering ( ICMPME 2026 ) will be held in Guangzhou, China from April 23 to 25,2026. This conference was sponsored by Guangdong Doctoral Innovation and Development Promotion Association, Guangdong Gaohang Intellectual Property Operation Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Metal Society and Guangzhou Institute of Engineers, and co-organized by many units.
With the theme of " New Highlands of Materials, New Kinetic Energy of Intelligent Manufacturing-2026 New Prospect of Industrial Upgrading, " the conference aims to build an international academic exchange and industry-finance docking platform in the field of metal materials and intelligent manufacturing, gather global experts and scholars, industry elites and enterprise representatives, share cutting-edge research results and technological progress, and promote cross-disciplinary cooperation and innovative development.
The conference will invite a number of academicians and industry leaders to discuss core issues such as metal material technology, intelligent manufacturing trend and achievement transformation, promote the deep integration of theoretical research and industrial practice, and provide support for the upgrading and transformation of related industries. We sincerely invite peers at home and abroad to actively participate in and jointly promote the high-quality development of the industry.

Prof. Shuangfei Wang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Guangxi University, is the discipline leader of Guangxi’s first-class discipline “Light Industry Technology and Engineering,” director of the Guangxi Key Laboratory of Clean Pulping, Papermaking and Pollution Control, and a member of the Guangxi Degree Committee. He has been honored with titles such as National Advanced Worker, National Outstanding Professional Technical Talent, and National Model Teacher. Prof. Wang has long been dedicated to research on clean pulping, papermaking, and pollution control. He has made significant contributions to applied basic research, key technology development, and industrial application in clean production and end-of-pipe treatment in papermaking. He has led the completion of major national projects including the National 863 Program and the National Key R&D Program. His awards include the second-class National Technological Invention Award, the second-class National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Special Contribution Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, the first-class Technological Invention Award, and the first-class Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Education.

Prof. Rong Zhu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Carbon Neutrality Institute of the University of Science and Technology Beijing, director of the National Key Laboratory of Green Low-carbon Steel Metallurgy, and chairman of the Electrometallurgy Branch of the Chinese Society for Metals. He has long been dedicated to research, teaching, and engineering in the field of green low-carbon steel metallurgy. He has received four second-class National Science and Technology Progress Awards, the Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Progress Award, the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award, and the Special Prize of China Metallurgical Science and Technology. Prof. Zhu has published over 200 papers, holds more than 100 authorized domestic and international patents, authored 9 monographs, and has been responsible for the formulation of 1 national standard and 8 industry standards.
Prof. Yongzhang Zhou

Prof. Yongzhang Zhou is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Sun Yat-sen University, an academician of both the Russian Academy of Engineering and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, and a visiting professor at Stanford University. He specializes in interdisciplinary research on low-carbon technology, low-carbon industry, and low-carbon culture. He founded the Earth Environment and Resources Research Center at Sun Yat-sen University in 2003, promoting multidisciplinary studies related to climate change mitigation, sustainable development, resource environment, low-carbon economy, and new energy technologies. Prof. Zhou has participated in over 50 national and provincial key R&D projects and published more than 500 academic papers. He is the author of several works including Growth and Sustainable Development of the Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomeration, Study on Green Development Concepts, and Big Data Mining and Machine Learning in Earth Sciences. He has attended numerous United Nations climate conferences including COP21 (Paris Climate Conference). Prof. Zhou holds multiple leadership and advisory roles in academic, governmental, and industrial organizations related to carbon neutrality and sustainable development in China and the Greater Bay Area. He has trained nearly 200 doctoral, master's, and EMBA students and pioneered specialized executive courses focused on low-carbon leadership and strategic investment.
Prof. Ruxu Du

Prof. Ruxu Du, born in April 1955 in Jilin, China, is a distinguished expert in precision manufacturing and an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Wuhan Iron and Steel Institute (now Wuhan University of Science and Technology), a Master’s degree in Automation from South China Institute of Technology (now South China University of Technology), and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, USA. After postdoctoral research at McMaster University in Canada, he held faculty positions at the University of Windsor and the University of Miami before joining The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a professor and director of the Precision Engineering Research Institute. He has also served as director of research centers at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology and the Guangzhou Institute of Advanced Technology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2018, Prof. Du has been Dean and professor at South China University of Technology’s Wu Xianming School of Intelligent Engineering. His research focuses primarily on precision manufacturing.

Prof. Liejun Li is a professor and doctoral supervisor at South China University of Technology, a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and a recipient of the State Council Special Government Allowance. He currently serves as Chairman of several important industry and innovation organizations, including the Guangdong Doctor Innovation Development Association and the Metal New Materials Industry Alliance in the Greater Bay Area. With over 30 years of experience in advanced metal materials and intelligent manufacturing research and industrialization, Prof. Li has led a multidisciplinary research team with expertise in metallurgy, materials science, mechanical engineering, and automation. He has collaborated extensively with leading steel and manufacturing enterprises, producing 16 national and provincial science and technology awards, 38 authorized patents, and over 300 peer-reviewed papers. Prof. Li has authored 2 academic monographs and 1 education monograph, contributing significantly to both the academic community and industrial innovation. He has been honored with numerous awards including Guangdong Annual Contribution Figure, China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, and South China University of Technology’s Most Beloved Mentor.

All papers submitted to ICMPME 2026 will be reviewed by two or three expert reviewers from the conference committees. After a rigorous reviewing process.All accepted full papers will be published inthe SAE Technical Paper (ISSN: 0148-7191) and will be submitted to EI Compendex / Scopus for indexing.
