Entering the 21st century, materials are listed as one of the four pillars of modern civilisation, not only as the basic elements of people's daily life, but also as indispensable components in major high-tech fields such as energy, information, advanced manufacturing, etc., with numerous examples of their applications.

Material physics and composites, as cutting-edge fields, are of great significance to the advancement of science and technology and the development of society. Therefore, we sincerely invite all experts and scholars to attend the 2025 2nd International Conference on Materials Physics and Composites (ICMPC 2025). The conference will be held on June 27-29 2025 in Kunming, China. The conference will attract leading researchers and practitioners to present and exchange information on the latest developments in materials physics and composites, and will also focus on how to translate research results into practical applications for industrial upgrading and sustainable development.

The conference programme will feature keynote speeches by renowned scholars in the field and oral or poster presentations by scholars from around the world in Kunming. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with researchers and industry experts to exchange new ideas and application experiences. Scholars from home and abroad are welcome to submit papers and attend the conference.

Prof. Petrică Vizureanu

University of Iași, Romania

Biography: Petrică Vizureanu obtained an MSc and Ph.D. in heating equipment at the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University, Iasi, Romania, in 1992 and 1999, respectively. Dr. Vizureanu is currently a full professor and scientific supervisor in materials engineering at the same university and the appointed director of the Department of Technologies and Equipment for Materials Processing. He is an editor and guest editor for many journals and publishing houses. His research focuses on expert systems for heating system programming, computer-assisted design for heating equipment, heating equipment for materials processing, heat transfer, biomaterials, and geopolymers. He has published more than 250 papers in international journals and conference proceedings as well as over 40 books.

Prof. Lujun Pan

Dalian University of Technology, China

Biography: In 1988, Professor Pan graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Insulation Technology from the School of Electrical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University. In 1994, he went to Osaka Prefecture University in Japan to study Electronic Physics. Professor Pan obtained his Ph.D. in 2000 and remained at the university as an assistant professor, during which he also served as a researcher at the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). At the end of 2007, he returned to China and was appointed as a professor and doctoral advisor at Dalian University of Technology. He has held various positions, including Director of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Director of the Physics and Optoelectronic Experimental Center, and head of the Optics program. Professor Pan's primary research areas include the preparation and study of the physical properties of nanomaterials. He has published more than 190 papers in prominent international SCI journals, which have been cited over 4,000 times. He has filed and obtained over 20 national and international patents. He has consistently focused on the structural regulation of carbon nanomaterials and their composites, as well as their optoelectronic and mechanical properties, acquiring essential technologies and extensive practical experience in the preparation of carbon nanomaterials. During his tenure in Japan, he undertook multiple key projects funded by JST and NEDO, and as a project leader, he spearheaded a significant collaborative research initiative titled "Regional Collaborative Research Project- Creation of Utilization Technologies for Carbon Nanomaterials", jointly organized by JST and Osaka Prefecture. After returning to China, Professor Pan has led and participated in various projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, including general and key projects, the 863 Program, and significant international cooperative projects. He has made several internationally leading research achievements in the hierarchical structure construction of carbon nanomaterials, photothermal-electric properties, and the fundamental applications in energy storage, microwave absorption, flexible sensing, and Raman spectra. The graduate students he has supervised have published numerous high-level papers in prestigious international nanotechnology journals and have received various honors, including National Scholarships, the Doctoral Star Award, and Outstanding Graduate Students at the provincial level.

Prof. Osman Adiguzel

Firat University, Turkey

Biography: Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years. He published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker or Poster presenter. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries. Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches over 230 Virtual/Webinar Conferences, in the coronavirus outbreak and retirement life  in five year of his retirement, 2020 and 2024. Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M. Sc theses. He is also technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of   significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File. Scientific fields of Dr. Adiguzel:  Shape memory effect and displacive phase transformations in shape memory alloys and other alloys, molecular dynamics simulations, alloy modeling, electron microscopy, electron diffraction, x-ray diffraction and crystallography.

All papers will be reviewed by two or three expert reviewers from the conference committees. After a careful reviewing process, all accepted papers will be published in Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) (ISSN:1742-6596) and submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus for indexing.

(1) Both Abstract and Full Paper are welcomed. The author can make an oral presentation after the Abstract is accepted and the payment is made.

(2) All submitted articles should report original research results, experimental or theoretical, not previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles submitted to the conference should meet these criteria. We firmly believe that ethical conduct is the most essential virtue of any academics. Hence, any act of plagiarism or other misconduct is totally unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.

Publication History

The ICMPC 2024 was successfully held. All accepted papers were published and have been indexed by EI Compendex and Scopus.
