Conference Introduction

In the context of rapid global technological development, applied mechanics and mechanical engineering, as the foundations for driving modern industrial innovation, continue to demonstrate their cross-cutting importance. Applied mechanics not only helps us understand the behavior of objects under the action of forces but also plays a crucial role in aerospace, military, automotive manufacturing, and more high-precision fields. At the same time, the development of mechanical engineering has propelled the rapid progress of smart manufacturing, robotics, and other industries, significantly enhancing production efficiency and economic benefits.

Prof. Yusri Yusof

Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Malaysia

Biography:

Dr. Yusri Yusof is a Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), appointed as UTHM Board of Director (BoD) member for 3 years from 10 May, 2021 by the Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia, and University Senate member for more than 10 years. Prof. Yusri was recognized as a Visiting Professor from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, on 1 September 2019. He owns a PhD in Manufacturing, obtained from the University of Loughborough, the United Kingdom, in 2007. His doctoral thesis was on STEP Compliant Approach to Turning Operations in manufacturing engineering and passed without correction in his PhD viva.

Prof. Yusri has over 22 years of experience teaching in higher education. Prof. Yusri has been invited 40 times as a Keynote speaker at local and International conferences and has served on International Committee for almost 50 conferences in his area for the last 5 years. Prof. Yusri has multidisciplinary research interests, and his main research areas focus on the Manufacturing of Smart Devices & Technology Development and Digitalization & Retro-Fit CNC machines. He has published 88 Scopus papers, mainly in CAD/CAM and advanced manufacturing.

Prof. Yusri led about 20 grant research projects involving almost RM2 million under Science fund (MOSTI), Prototype Research Grant (PRGS), Fundamental Research Grant (FRGS) and Internal Research Fund under Intelligent Manufacture for STEP-NC Compliant Machining projects. He has served on the Editorial Board of International Journals and is currently involved in several international bodies such as the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Senior member of the Science and Engineering Institute (SCIEI), The World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology (WASET) Scientific and Technical Committees, editorial & reviewer’s boards and Senior member of the International Association of Engineering Technology (IAET). Member of Board of Engineer (BEM) Malaysia, Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).

Prof. Kamil Arslan

Karabük University, Turkey

Biography:

Prof. Dr. Kamil ARSLAN has finished Ph.D from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Gazi University, Turkey in 2010. Currently he is working as Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department at Karabük University, Turkey since January 2020. He is also Head of Mechanical Engineering Department. He is working on experimental and numerical heat transfer, computational fluid mechanics, nanofluid flow, solar energy, magnetohydrodynamics and designing of heat exchangers. He has authored more than 120 research papers in Scopus/SCI/SCIE indexed journals and conferences. He has also published one book chapter. He has worked more than 20 research projects. He has been supervisor of 5 Phd and 11 MSc theses. He is member of editorial bord of two SCIE journals (Strojniški vestnik - Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Journal of Thermal Science and Technology). He is also member of Turkish Society of Thermal Sciences And Technology, American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE) and International Solar Energy Society – Turkey Section (ISES-TR-GÜNDER). 

A. Pro. Fengming Du

Dalian Maritime University, China

Biography:

Du Fengming, Ph.D. from Dalian University of Technology, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Marine Engineering, Dalian Maritime University, Postdoctoral Fellow in Ship and Ocean Engineering Flow Station. His main research areas include structural mechanics, mechanical design and automation, advanced alloy material preparation, green energy, and engine optimization design. Received the titles of "Million Talents Project" talent in Liaoning Province, "Dalian Youth Science and Technology Star", and "Dalian High level Talent Youth Talent", as well as one Liaoning Province Natural Science Academic Achievement Award. Hosted 2 key projects of the Vehicle and Ship Power Special Project of the State Administration of Science and Technology for National Defense, 1 key project of the Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Foundation, 1 joint project of the Liaoning Provincial Shipping Joint Fund, 1 general project of the China Postdoctoral Fund, 1 project of the Dalian High level Talent Innovation Support Program, 2 special funds for undergraduate research and business expenses of central universities, and 7 horizontal projects. Participated in more than 10 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Equipment Development's pre research project, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's high-tech shipbuilding project. Published over 60 academic papers and 7 invention patents and 2 international invention patents. Senior member of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, serving as a reviewer for journals such as Journal of Materials Processing Technology, The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Steel Research International, and International Journal of Engine Research. Served as a guest editor for journals such as Lubricants and Coatings.

Paper Publication

All submitted papers must go through a review process by 2-3 members of the organizing committee. After a rigorous review, all accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to EI Compendex and Scopus for indexing.

Submission Guidelines:

① Papers should have academic or practical value and have not been published in domestic or international academic journals or conferences;

② Authors can conduct self-checking using CrossCheck, iThenticate or other plagiarism detection systems at their own expense;

③ For withdrawal due to author's reasons, a 30% handling fee will be deducted;

④ Please proactively add the conference secretary's WeChat after submission to facilitate timely follow-up on the status of the paper and related matters for future publication;

⑤ The paper shall not be less than 5 pages;

 Registration Fee

1. All fees are issued with domestic formal machine printed invoices, and content can be "conference registration fee" or "layout fee";

2. If a paper that has been accepted and paid for, or a completed registration order needs to be cancelled due to personal reasons of the author, a handling fee will be deducted (for specific refund policy details, please refer to the official website);

3. Students must proactively send appropriate documents to the conference secretary to prove their identity (such as student ID cards).

Participation method

1. Author participation: One accepted article allows one author to attend for free;

2. Speaker: Apply for a keynote speech, which will be reviewed by the organizing committee;

3. Oral presentation: Apply for an oral report, with a duration of 15 minutes;

4. Poster display: Apply for poster display, A1 size;

5. Audience participation: Participants can participate without submitting articles, or apply for presentations and posters.
